NOT JUST BUILDINGS, BUT PEOPLE

AMAHORO

One of these first things we were told about Rwanda was that most people that speak about the country know it for the double G, Gorillas and Genocide… It is a wound its people are still healing from, but a sense of change is happening.

Our film focuses on multiple glimpses of life from different perspectives, but invites viewers to make their own decisions.

Shot across Kigali and other regions over Christmas 2015, we witnessed what a fresh start, and one of the youngest governments in the world, could achieve.

We visited families, teachers, artists and businesses, to talk about the future of the country, the government and how you recover from the worst genocide in human history. The talk of death is never far away but peace seems to be possible and is being actively embraced.
